Hi all-
I'm having a problem downloading again. I cannot download unless I do it through my "WC Browser". Furthermore, the skins downloaded with the browser do not show up on my "WB Config", nor in "skin studio" if I have to alter something.
I am a level 4 user. Not only can I not download but as soon as I sign in the ratings disappear. This has been an ongoing problem since summer. Someone helped me straighten it out before but it's happening again and it's getting to be a real nuisance. > Please help.

Hi Yrag-
I have one more question. The ONLY thing I have downloaded so far is WindowBlinds (I haven't installed 'IP' or 'WC Browser' yet) and look at all the stuff (see pic) that got loaded into all programs.... is that normal?
Oh, BTW, I just did a full system recovery that I was planning on doing.... the only thing that I downloaded prior to WB was my firewall other than that it's squeaky clean.

Hummmm...it's been so long ....my guess is that it is normal. I believe if you click on them they are all 'URL's' to the each proggies' web site. If that's the case then keep 'em or lose 'em....your choice

Yrag-
I'm thinking of trying "Object DeskTop" before buying it and in order to avoid conflicting programs I thought I'd ask a few questions.

1. Do I need to unload or un-install WB.
2. Do I need to install "Stardock Central" or is it part of "Object DeskTop"?
3. Is Stardock Central the same thing as "Control Center"?
4. If I like it and decide to purchase it will I have to un-install it prior to the "paid for" version?

Sorry for all the questions I just don't want another program fiasco.

Hmmm..first of all (I of course think buying ODNT is a very good idea) Star Dock Central should be installed no matter what you have installed and will not require a re-install if you buy ODNT. If you bought WC BRowser, you will not have to un-install that either. Everything else must be un-installed (don't forget to re-boot between un-installs and re-installs). You will get an e-mail with your serial #s and download links. You can go in two directions at this point. You will need to copy/paste your serial #s in SDC in Registration Info (lower right corner) and make sure you click on all tabs, so you can enter your WC Browser serial # (and anything else you may have bought). The 2nd way is to follow the e-mail links and download from there (it will ask for serial #s) and then update proggies thru SDC from there on. (either way you must enter serial #'s in SDC). Control Center is not SDC and it comes with ODNT and if you installed it then un-install it as noted above. I have a feeling that your cookies are going to go wacko when you do this so make sure you log out of Stardock after putting in serial #'s and before starting the proggie installs and kill the 3 SD cookies. This will do it....do not click on it until you log out and have your SDC serials in and applied. https://www.wincustomize.com/killcookies.asp After the cookies are gone log back into SDC and install or update (which ever way you chose to do...before you ask...yes, I would just install everthing from SDC and not bother with the links!!)

Good Luck

I'm really getting embarrassed about plying you with so many questions and I apologize.

BTW the only thing I have installed since the recovery is WB... and I'm fixin to go download ODT before I install IP or the Browser.

I think I may have goofed already because I installed WB and have not installed SDC. Really-- they should have something telling you that it is required when you download. If it weren't for you I would have never known. So I should uninstall WB before downloading SDC and reboot in between? Then I can download ODT, right?
Again, I apologize for plaguing you like this. I just want to make sure I do it right this time.

Let's err on the side of caution...un-install that install of WB and re-boot. After that follow the instructions above. As I said before I would install everything (including WC Browser) thru SDC. When your done all your future updates will be in SDC. Again make sure you check under each tab to make sure all your proggies are installed and up to date and make sure 'Show Pre-release Versions' is checked in the lower left corner of SDC.
